Practice Journal: September 11, 2021 ~ Lesson Day!

 Hi everyone!

My lesson was great.  I signed of my scale, Trott, and Vivaldi Concerto today! We didn't get to Bach, however we had a big technique talk.

My assignment this week is to work on bow hand wrist flexibility.  I'm going to practice this by putting a small eraser on my hand while holding the bow.  Next, I alternately play my A string, then my E string, over and over again.  However, I can use my arm or fingers, I have to use my wrist.  When my wrist is the one moving the bow, the eraser will fall of.

Also, I have to work on tweaking my bow fingers a little bit to keep my bow from bouncing and the frog.

It was a very revealing lesson and I can't wait for next week's lesson!
